  1. 64 bit can run more than 4GB of RAM. 32 bit can run only 4 GB of RAM. The real difference is 64 bit sends 64 bits of data to the processor simultaneously compared to 32 bit which sends 32 bits of data to the processor in a single transmission.
Think 32-lane highway vs 64-lane highway: twice as much traffic can use the highway at any given time.In simple terms, the data path on a 32-bit operating system is half the size of 64-bit operating systems.

To find out if your computer is running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, do the following:

1.Go to Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click System.
2.Under System, you can view the system type.

    OR
1.Right click on my computer and select properties
2.click System and Maintenance, and then click System.
    3.Under System check System type.

  3. If the system type shown is x86-based pc, then it is 32 bit.
Else if system type is x64-based pc or x86-64, then it is 64 bit.
